INTRODUCTION:

   This is a large sea strait in Van Ninh District on the northern coast of Khanh Hoa Province, 90 km to the north of Nha trang City. Most of the Bay is surrounded by the Hon Gom Peninsula with high mountain ranges and Hon Lon Island rising next to the access gate into the Bay. Here, there is marvelous and charming scenery of continual mountain ranges stretching to the sea. The nature is sublime and pristine. The water is perfectly transparent with numerous large coral reefs and many pecies of colourful fish. Although the Bay is still primitive, it has been known by a number of European Tourists as an ideal place to enjoy their time bathing, swimming and snorkeling to explore the under water life, admiring the miraculous scenery on the ocean floor.
   Hon Gom Peninsula possesses over 10 km of long yellow sand Beach on its coast  and stretches as far as 32 km. There is now a nice asphalted road connecting Van Ninh district to the end of this peninsula.
  Two years ago the central government decided to develop and build the Bay into a state transit-seaport due to is ideal location (A very good shelter for heavy tonnage shipliners in stormy season).
   A boat trip for tourists from the inland pier to Hon Ong Island Resort would takes about 20 minutes. On the Island thereare restaurants available with menus of various dishes prepared and cooked from fresh fish, shrimps, lobsters and several sorts of shells.

Pick up  8:30 am  -  Return 4:30 pm
